In the field, snow is glistening. Wait, no. That’s Christmas.
My brother, Derek, gets married this Saturday, and as it draws closer I find myself getting pretty emotional about it. I haven’t written my best man toast yet, but I did just complete their reception slide show. I must say, I have a knack for that crap. It’ll definitely be memorable.
So, the toast - speech - thingy… I have a million ideas, one that I’m pretty sure I’m going with, but I’m not sure where to start.
How do I write on this blog? I don’t know. I just sit down and start typing. Maybe that’s what I need to do. I can fix it later. Like… Saturday morning… they don’t get married till 4pm. I have plenty of time!
So Mandi and I head up there on Friday morning for a long, long day before the rehearsal. Friday night should be fun though… we can sleep in a little and then I’ll help Derek get ready for the big dance. I have a feeling he won’t be nervous at all though… they’ve been together for 6 years and there was never really any doubt in his mind that he would marry her. Although, they’ve been engaged for 2 and a half years… that’s ridiculous.
Ok… I must sleep now. I’m overtired and dehydrated. I’ll get an update to you shortly after the busy weekend!
Love, peace and hair grease.
